The Sea Kayaking UK Romany Surf is a responsive sea kayak that surfs well for the medium to large sized paddler. The hull design offers high stability and the shaped foredeck allows for larger feet up to size 11/12 (European 46.5). Designed for rough water and ease of handling in conditions. The Romany Surf has more storage space in the rear compartment than the Romany Classic.

The Kayak is fitted with the high performance glass seat, unless otherwise requested, and offers extra legroom due to a raised area either side of the cockpit (the famous knee bumps). The seat can be set higher for a smaller paddler and the raised area in the front deck can be padded if needed. The kayak has a low rear deck for easy rolling, a keyhole cockpit that gives excellent grip, control and allows for a quick exit if need be. The sloping bulkhead behind the seat allows the kayak to be emptied by lifting the bow only, no need for an X-Rescue. The Romany Surf is configured with three hatches giving access to storage compartments, an 8" Round (20cm) for the day hatch, front and rear hatches are 10" Round (30cm), these can provide a drier storage option than oval hatches if the kayak is being paddled in 'conditions'.
