Inspired by the much-loved North African paste, Firepot have come up with their own Harissa blend for these hot, smoky peanuts. Starting with a tomato base, they use whole guajillo, ancho and arbol chillies to bring a complex mix of heat and smoky flavours to their sauce. Their tomatoes, fresh red peppers, and dried chillies are then smoked in the oven with whole caraway and cumin seeds, each of which give their Harissa nuts their earthy undertones, fruity notes, and characteristic fire.
